RESOLUTION NO. 65- 0V-2 <br /> CALLING UPON RAMSEY COUNTY JOINTLY WITH THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON TO <br /> CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A ROADWAY ALONG THE COMMON BOUNDARY OF THE VILLAGES <br /> • OF NEW BRIGHTON AND SAINT ANTHONY FROM SILVER LAKE ROAD TO T. H. 8 ON THE <br /> AXIS OF RAMSEY COUNTY ROAD 100 (SILVER LANE) EXTENDED <br /> WHEREAS the Village of St. Anthony and the Village of New Brighton share <br /> a common boundary known as Silver Lane and/or Orchard Place; and <br /> WHEREAS within the Village of New Brighton there exists a roadway known <br /> as Foss Road along the alignment of the aforementioned common roadway, which <br /> connects to T. H. 8; and <br /> WHEREAS the ISD #282 is constructing an elementary school to jointly <br /> serve the Village of St. Anthony and the Village of New Brighton, requiring <br /> improvement of the present common roadway; and <br /> WHEREAS common roadways are traditionally and inherently subject to <br /> problems in joint construction, maintenance and repair by more than one <br /> political jurisdiction; and <br /> WHEREAS Ramsey County already provides a county roadway known as Ramsey <br /> County 100, called Silver Lane along the same axis as Silver Lane and Orchard <br /> Place; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Councils of the Village of New <br /> Brighton and the Village of St. Anthony, each by the passage of a resolution, <br /> do hereby call upon the County of Ramsey and its Board of Commissioners to <br /> • construct, maintain and repair a roadway along the right-of-way of Silver Lane <br /> and/or Orchard Lane and Foss Road from Silver Lake Road to T. H. 8 along the <br /> axis of Ramsey County 100 extended, to efficiently and economically serve the <br /> people of Ramsey County, the school population of ISD #282, the Village of <br /> New Brighton and the Village of St. Anthony; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Ramsey and its Board of <br /> commissioners act with all due haste to provide aforementioned roadway to <br /> provide for the welfare and safety of children requiring an improved roadway <br /> to the school . <br /> jopted this 11 day of May, 1965. <br /> Ma or <br /> F,i i ESTe <br /> 100,zy--'eze-'-�be <br /> Manag <br /> • <br />
