RESOLUTION NO. 65 - 081 <br /> A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 11 , 1965 AS VETERAN'S DAY <br /> PROCLAMATION BY 71iE MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE OF ST: ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, President Lyndon 0. Johnson of the United States, has asked that <br /> November 111 1965 be observed as Veterans Day, the day on which we salute citizens <br /> who have exemplified the highest tradition of citizenship by serving in defense <br /> of this Nation; and <br /> WHEREAS I Governor Carl F. Rolvaag, of the State of Minnesota, has further <br /> requested all of the citizens of the State of Minnesota to observe Thursday, <br /> November 11, 1965, as Veterans Day; and <br /> WHEREAS, Veterans Day is traditionally a day dedicated to peace; and <br /> WHEREAS, Americans have always wanted peace; and <br /> WHEREAS, Peace with Honor lies at the very heart of our American principles; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, I, James H McNulty, Mayor, of the Village of St. Anthony, <br /> do hereby call on all citizens of the Village of St. Anthony to observe <br /> Thursday, November 11, 1965 as Veterans Day.
