RESOLUTION 79-040 <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> REVENUE INCREASE THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY'S LEVY <br /> LIMIT BASE PER CAPITA TO 85 PERCENT OF THE <br /> HENNEPIN COUNTY AVERAGE <br /> Whereas, the City Council of the City of St Anthony f l <br /> that an increase in the levy limit base is neces ry to pr <br /> flexibility to maintain service levels . <br /> Whereas, the City may not have to act evy, i operty <br /> taxes payable, all of the increase in the li t a <br /> Whereas, the City Council reasonably h det ed that, if <br /> part of the increase in the levy limit base is le ' ed, the net <br /> impact on property taxpayers is negligible due to changes in pro- <br /> perty tax laws and due to an increase in State Aid to Local Govern- <br /> ment. <br /> Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the City Council of the <br /> City of St. Anthony does hereby request that the Department of <br /> Revenue increase the City 's levy limit base by $44 , 381 , which is <br /> the difference between the present per capita levy limit base and <br /> 85 percent of the per capita of Hennepin County levy limit base <br /> times the City ' s Hennepin County population. <br /> • <br /> Adopted this day of 1979 , <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST:— <br /> City/Clerk <br /> TTEST:Cit Clerk <br /> i <br /> Reviewed for Administration: <br /> City,2Manager, <br /> i <br />
