Process. <br /> • Each City Department should decide on the most effective system to: <br /> -evaluate the waste stream for possible source reduction opportunities and source <br /> reduction systems already in place; <br /> -investigate and select practical and attainable source reduction opportunities; <br /> -implement the selected source reduction opportunities. <br /> *Four Major Purchasing Considerations for All Employees* <br /> -use less material per manufactured unit; <br /> -substitute disposable with reusable products; <br /> -purchase durable and repairable goods; <br /> -don't buy. <br />
