• ARTICLE XI ATTENDANCE BONUS <br /> If, during any one (1) calendar year (1/1 - 12/31) of a given year, an <br /> employee does not use any sick leave, other than sick leave taken due <br /> to hospitalization on an "in-patient" basis under the care of a <br /> physician and any "at-home" recovery following the hospitalization, <br /> then that employee shall be entitled to an additional eight (8) hours <br /> of vacation time, over and above regularly earned vacation time, to be <br /> taken during the following year. This benefit is experimental and <br /> subject to EMPLOYER view of feasibility for continuance beyond this <br /> AGREEMENT. <br /> ARTICLE XII FUNERAL LEAVE <br /> In the event of the death of any employee's spouse, children, or <br /> parents or spouse's parents, the employee will be granted three (3) <br /> days of funeral leave with pay. In the event of the death of an <br /> employee's or his spouse's grandparents, brothers and sisters, an <br /> employee will be granted one (1) day's funeral leave with pay. <br /> ARTICLE XIII LEAVE OF ABSENCE <br /> Employees subpoenaed as witnesses, or called and selected for jury <br /> duty shall receive their regular compensation less jury pay. Mileage <br /> • allowance not to be considered as jury pay. <br /> Whenever any employee is delegated to attend conventions of labor <br /> which require his absence from work, the EMPLOYER agrees that such <br /> absence shall be allowed, provided there is not substantial work <br /> interference, and the EMPLOYER is able to make satisfactory arrange- <br /> ments. <br /> i <br /> ARTICLE XIV SEVERANCE <br /> Employees which are permanently laid off, disabled, resign, or who <br /> retire after five (5) years of consecutive service and who are in good <br /> standing shall receive eighty (80) hours of severance pay for each <br /> full year of service from sixteen (16) years of service to twenty (20) <br /> full years of service. After twenty (20) years of service, employees <br /> shall receive twelve (12) hours of severance pay for each complete <br /> year after twenty (20) years of service to a maximum of two hundred <br /> twenty-four (224) hours of severance pay for an employee with twenty- <br /> five (25) or more full years of service. <br /> The payment for severance shall be made within ninety (90) days of the <br /> date of last employment by mutual agreement of the EMPLOYER and <br /> employee, unless both agree to some other limitation. <br /> • 5 <br />
