Executive Order 119889 Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development <br /> Act of 1974 and with all other applicable requirements of the Act and the <br /> Regulations in the use of basic grant amounts. Nothing in this Article shall <br /> be construed to lessen or abrogate County's responsibility to assume all <br /> obligations of an applicant under the Act, including the development of <br /> applications pursuant to 24 CFR 570.300 et seq. <br /> The parties further agree that the Municipality has adopted and has in <br /> force a policy which prohibits the use of excessive force by law enforcement <br /> agencies within its jurisdiction against ' any individuals engaged in <br /> non-violent civil rights demonstrations and a policy of enforcing applicable <br /> state and local laws against physically barring entrance to or exit from a <br /> facility or location which is the subject of such non-violent civil rights <br /> demonstrations within its jurisdiction. <br /> • <br /> The parties further agree that the Municipality will take all steps <br /> necessary to assure compliance by the County with its certification required <br /> by Sections 104(b) and 109 of Title I of the Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights <br /> Act of 1964, the Fair Housing Act, and other applicable laws. <br /> The parties further agree that pursuant to 24 CFR 570.501 (b), the <br /> Municipality is subject to the same requirements applicable to subrecipients, <br /> including a written agreement as set forth in 24 CFR 570.503. Such agreements <br /> are only entered into when a Municipality chooses to propose a project and <br /> actually will receive funds from the County's entitlement allocation. <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this Agreement to be <br /> executed by its duly authorized officers and delivered on its behalf this <br /> day of 1991. <br /> 8 <br />
