• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 00-039 <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING DISSOLUTION OF <br /> THE MINNESOTA POLICE RECRUITMENT SYSTEM <br /> WHEREAS, the City is a member of a joint powers organization known as the Minnesota <br /> Police Recruitment System (MPRS) created by a joint powers agreement (the <br /> "Agreement") pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MPRS no longer serves the purpose for which it was formed, and the MPRS <br /> Executive Committee has recommended to MPRS members that the organization <br /> be dissolved; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section XIV of the Agreement provides that the MPRS shall be dissolved when <br /> its Secretary-Treasurer has received certified copies of resolutions adopted by <br /> the governing bodies of two-thirds of its members requesting such dissolution; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that dissolution of the MPRS is in the best <br /> interests of the City. <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED b the Cit Council of the Ci of St. Anthonyhat <br /> Y Y City Y <br /> the City hereby requests dissolution of the Minnesota Police Recruitment System (MPRS) in <br /> accordance with the Agreement and that the City Clerk hereby is authorized and directed to <br /> transmit forthwith a certified copy of this resolution to the MPRS Secretary-Treasurer in care <br /> of Daniel Donahue, City Manager, City of New Hope, Minnesota. <br /> Adopted this ate— day of )MQ.l , 2000. <br /> w <br /> N <br /> a <br /> ATTEST:J�!&7tyU�L,,L <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed by Administration: AVI <br /> City anager <br />
