• AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ST. ATHONY TO INITIATE ITS UI <br /> PROGRAM AND MEET ITS III GOALS ESTABLISHED BY THE <br /> METROPOLITAN COUCIL <br /> WHEREAS: <br /> 1. The City of St. Anthony(hereinafter referred to as "City")has submitted a <br /> comprehensive plan amendment to reconstruct its Harding Street Lift Station <br /> that will discharge both sanitary wastewater and clear water from passive drain <br /> tile to a Minneapolis trunk sewer; and <br /> 2. This discharge to the Minneapolis system will increase the peak wet <br /> weather flows to the Metropolitan Disposal System; and <br /> 3. The City has developed a program for the reduction of I/I from private property <br /> to meet the PI goals for the City as established by the Metropolitan Council <br /> (hereinafter referred to as "Council"); and <br /> 4. Under the current Council's I/I study and Council's UI program, the Council's <br /> • PI goal for the City is fixed and ongoing and the Council expects the City to <br /> meet this goal within a five year period and to keep its flows within this range <br /> after that; and <br /> 5. The Council has approved the comprehensive plan amendment with the <br /> condition that the City enter into this agreement committing the City to a time <br /> schedule for the implementation of their I/I program to meet these PI goals; <br /> and <br /> 6. The City intend to complete its non-voluntary home inspection program within <br /> ten years of the date of this Agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, The Metropolitan Council and the City of St. Anthony hereby agree <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. Approval of City's Comprehensive Plan Amendment. On October 25, 2000 <br /> the Council approved the City's Comprehensive Plan Amendment to <br /> reconstruct its Harding Street Lift Station contingent upon the City's <br /> agreement to the terms of this Agreement. <br /> • <br /> 1 <br />
