CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> RESOLUTION 04 - 056 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING ELECTRONIC MONUMENT SIGN <br /> AT 3301 SILVER LAKE ROAD FOR(A)FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, (B) VARIANCE <br /> FOR SIGN HEIGHT, AND (C) VARIANCE FOR COPY SURFACE AREA. <br /> WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 20, 2004, <br /> regarding a electronic monument sign(a) for a conditional use permit, (b) <br /> variance for copy surface area. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, the Planning Commission recommended Council approve said request by the City <br /> of St. Anthony for the electronic sign because the sign height was due to the <br /> incorporation of the city logo, the sign needs to be large enough for visibility <br /> purposes, and the City was limited as to where the sign could be placed with the <br /> obstruction and visibility issues along Silver Lake Road. <br /> The Planning Commission recommended Council approve the Conditional Use <br /> Permit with the following stipulations: <br /> 1) Flashing and animation prohibited; <br /> • 2) Hours of operation are limited and shall be between the hours of 6 am <br /> and 10 pm.; <br /> 3) Message changeability should be minimum required to accomplish the <br /> purpose of the sign; <br /> 4) Sign aesthetics–such as color, size of reader board and sign, <br /> construction materials, and landscaping plan; <br /> 5) Consideration should be given to safety and neighborhood; <br /> 6) Sign may only be used to promote items of general interest to the <br /> community; <br /> 7) And adoption of Policy for Community Bulletin Board Sign. <br /> Adopted this 27th day of Jam, T-,V4Aj <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: bimzh-13� <br /> ity Clerk <br /> Review for Administration: <br /> Aityana /erjL--�- <br />
