CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-038 <br /> • <br /> APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> WITH THE ST. ANTHONY/NEW BRIGHTON SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> FOR THE UPCOMING 2005 ELECTIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony (the "City") and the St. Anthony/New Brighton <br /> Independent School District No. 282 (ISD #282), desire to perform their <br /> elections in odd numbered years; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota State Statue Section 205.03 Subd. 1 Required <br /> primaries in certain circumstancei-the City will perform a primary election <br /> on the Tuesday after the second Monday in September; and <br /> WHEREAS, the "City" and ISD #282 will combine elections of the City Council and <br /> School Board and to hold said combined elections on the First Tuesday <br /> after the first Monday in November <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> • 1) the City Clerk will conduct all primary School District Elections; <br /> 2) the City Clerk will conduct all local General Elections; <br /> 3) voting equipment, responsible by the City, will be used; <br /> 4) the School District will be responsible for all costs related to a primary election as <br /> a result of Minnesota State Statues 205A.03 Subd. 1; <br /> 4) the School District will reimburse the City 50% of the total non-fixed costs <br /> associated with the election. Future local elections will be negotiated when <br /> appropriate; <br /> 5) the City will pay the full cost of any local General Elections for which ISD #282 <br /> has no item on the ballot; <br /> 6) ISD #282 will hold harmless the City in the conduct of elections. <br /> Passed and adopted this 26th day of ril 2005. <br /> ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> • City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for Administration: j <br /> City manager <br />
