• City of St. Anthony <br /> Resolution 06-051 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE DEDICATION OF SALO PARK IN <br /> RECOGNITION OF THE SISTER CITY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN <br /> SALO,FINLAND AND ST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, in November of 1985, the Cities of Salo, Finland and St. Anthony, <br /> Minnesota recognized each other as sister cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, after twenty one years, this relationship has produced many opportunities <br /> for cultural, educational, governmental and social understanding for all <br /> citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Salo, Finland has dedicated a park named "St. Anthony Park" <br /> honoring that relationship in Salo, Finland; and <br /> WHEREAS, through the re-development efforts in St. Anthony and the support of <br /> business and community leaders we were able to reciprocate in kind by <br /> • memorializing in law and deed -Salo Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, in that these two communities universally embrace this acknowledgement <br /> of benevolence, on this day,June 8th, 2006 we dedicate, with our fellow <br /> Council members from the City of Salo, and the City of St. Anthony, SALO <br /> PARK. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> that we recognize the dedication and memorialization of Salo Park in Silver Lake <br /> Village of St Anthony, Minnesota <br /> Adopted this 9th day of May, 2006. <br /> .Mayor <br /> ATTEST: &— &ka <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for Administration: <br /> If City Manager <br />
