WHEREAS, as part of the Silver Lake Village redevelopment, sidewalk will be <br /> installed along Stinson Boulevard from 37 Avenue NE to 39`h Avenue <br /> • NE,providing a viable pedestrian route to and from the residential and <br /> retail development; and <br /> WHEREAS, the NTP grant program would provide the impetus as well as supplemental <br /> funds to allow for the constructing of the Stinson Boulevard sidewalk <br /> project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of St. <br /> Anthony supports and authorizes the application for funding under the NTP <br /> program,to help finance the sidewalk installation along the east side of Stinson <br /> Boulevard. The new sidewalk will improve safety conditions, and will provide a <br /> more effective non-motorized link between homes, schools, recreational facilities, <br /> and the Silver Lake Village residential and retail development; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of St. Anthony <br /> authorizes City Staff to prepare and submit an application for the NTP program to <br /> Transit for Livable Communities for funding consideration of the aforementioned <br /> sidewalk project. <br /> Adopted this 27`h day of March, 2007. <br /> • <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> J /A <br /> Reviewed for administration: <br /> City Manager <br /> • <br />
