ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> • RESOLUTION 08-079 <br /> A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE TO HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT <br /> REQUIREMENT SET FORTH BY STATE AID OPERATIONS FOR THE <br /> 2009 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> S.A.P. No. 161-107-002 from station 10+57.1 (37`x'Avenue NE)to station 42+43.2 (City Limits)in <br /> the City of St. Anthony in the Counties of Hennepin and Ramsey,Minnesota. <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution was passed this eight day of December, 2008,by the City of <br /> St. Anthony in the Counties of Hennepin and Ramsey,Minnesota. The Municipal Corporation shall <br /> hereinafter be the "City", <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the "City", has planned the improvement of Chandler Drive and Foss Road, <br /> State Aid Route No. 161-107-002 from station 10+57.1 (37th Avenue NE)to station 42+43.2 (City <br /> Limits in the City of St. Anthony in the Counties of Hennepin and Ramsey,Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the "City" will be expending Municipal State Aid Funds on the improvements <br /> of this Street; and <br /> • WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate road right-of-way to provide for <br /> the horizontal alignment requirement as outlined on Fig. A(3) 5-892.211 of the State Aid Manual; <br /> and approval of the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid Street project must therefore <br /> receive a variance from the Minnesota Rules for State Aid Operations Chapter 8820. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony that: <br /> 1) The request for a variance to Minnesota Rule 8820.9936 is authorized, to allow a 20 mph <br /> horizontal curve in lieu of the required minimum 30 mph between station 27+76.17 and <br /> station 28+42.37, and a 25 mph horizontal curve in lieu of the required minimum 30 mph <br /> between station 39+68.39 and station 41+41.40. <br /> Adopted this 8th day of December, 2008. <br /> M yor <br /> ATTEST: &&LQ�R&-t <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for administration: <br /> • k—,— <br /> dt Manager <br /> ZACouncil Meetings\2008\12082008\Resolution 08-080 variance for 2009 street project.doc <br />
