CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION 10-073 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ST. ANTHONY-NEW BRIGHTON <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT #282 IN THEIR GRANT REQUEST TO HENNEPIN <br /> COUNTY YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br /> STADIUM ATHLETIC COMPLEX, SOFTBALL FACILITIES AT CENTRAL <br /> PARK,TO IMPROVE THE DRAINAGE OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE FIELDS <br /> IN CENTRAL PARK AND TO REVITALIZE UNDER-SIZED <br /> SPACE TO CREATE A REGULATION SIZED SOCCER FIELD AT <br /> WILSHIRE PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br /> WHEREAS, Hennepin County, via its Youth Sports Grant Program, <br /> provides for capital funds to assist local government units of <br /> Hennepin County for the development of sport or recreation <br /> facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, St. Anthony-New Brighton School District #282 desires to <br /> develop improvements to its stadium athletic complex, to <br /> enhance its softball facilities of Central Park Field 1, to improve <br /> drainage of the multi-purpose fields in Central Park, and to <br /> revitalize under-utilized space to create a regulation sized <br /> soccer field at Wilshire Park Elementary for the purpose of <br /> enhancing its athletic facilities to encourage and expanded <br /> youth recreation opportunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total cost of the project is $373,000 and amount requested <br /> from Hennepin County Youth Sports Program is$325,000 and <br /> the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District #282 will assume <br /> responsibility for a match requirement of$48,000. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of St. Anthony City Council <br /> approves Resolution 10-073; A Resolution Supporting the St. Anthony-New <br /> Brighton School District#282 in their Grant Request to Hennepin County Youth <br /> Sports Program for Improvements to the Stadium Athletic Complex,Softball <br /> Facilities at Central Park, to Improve drainage of the multi-purpose fields in Central <br /> Park and to Revitalized under-sized space to create a regulation sized soccer field at <br /> Wilshire Park Elementary School. <br /> F ICouncd Meenngs110101101620101m supporting ISD 282 grant to he doc <br />
