CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> RESOLUTION 11-038 <br /> A RESOLUTION REGARDING RENEWAL OF MUNICIPAL INSURANCE COVERAGE <br /> AND THE WAIVER OF TORT LIABILITY LIMITS FOR THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA <br /> CITIES INSURANCE PROGRAM. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby approves participation in the <br /> League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust(LMCIT) insurance program for the <br /> year 2011/2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has elected to purchase liability coverage in the amount of$1,500,000.00 <br /> per occurrence, as set forth in the MN Statutes 466.04, Subd. 7. <br /> WHEREAS, the City will maintain its present coverage of$10,000 deductible with a maximum <br /> $50,000 aggregate loss in one year. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby approves the <br /> renewal of insurance coverage through the League of Minnesota Cities at a total cost of$214,291 <br /> for the policy period of June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> hereby approves waiving of the monetary limits on tort liability established by MN statute <br /> 466.04, Subd. 7, to the extent of the limits of the liability coverage obtained from the LMCIT for <br /> the policy period of June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012. <br /> Adopted this 28th day of June, 2011. <br /> Ma or <br /> ATTEST: , <br /> City Clerk <br /> Review for Administration: <br /> City Manager <br />
