CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> Resolution 11-052 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE ARTHUR AND LEONARD FALLDIN <br /> POST#555 AMERICAN LEGION POST 65TH ANNIVERSARY <br /> COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA 55421 <br /> WHEREAS, on 24 September 1946,the local veterans received their charter to establish a <br /> post in Northeast Minneapolis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the post was named after the Falldin family who comprised of 1 daughter and <br /> 10 sons of which 9 served their country in WWII; and <br /> WHEREAS, through their record of selflessness inspired returning veterans to continue their <br /> service to the betterment of humankind in the same spirit as the Falldin family; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, after sixty five years,this bond of service to its community has produced many <br /> opportunities for youth programs, educational, governmental and social <br /> understanding for all citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS, in that dedication of communities that universally embrace this <br /> acknowledgement of benevolence,on this day, September 24'h,2011 we <br /> dedicate our sincerest thanks to the members of Falldin Post#555 for their <br /> unflagging dedication to service. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> that we recognize the 65th Anniversary of Falldin American Legion Post#555 <br /> Adopted this 13`h day of September, 2011. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> me m City Manager <br />
