CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 12-032 <br /> RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br /> NO MORE THAN FIVE FEMALE CHICKENS IN AN R-1 ZONING DISTRICT <br /> AT 3008 29" AVENUE NE <br /> WHEREAS, Staff received a request for information from The Cutler family, 3008 29" <br /> Avenue NE, about whether or not the City allows chickens in the residential <br /> zoning district; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56,Keeping of <br /> Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including chickens, require <br /> approval from the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Cutler family has submitted a written request for approval from the <br /> City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56,to approve her request to <br /> keep chickens; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Cutler family described the enclosure that will house the chickens and <br /> that it will be kept in the fenced back yard; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br /> is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of St. <br /> Anthony approves the request to keep no more than five (5) female <br /> chickens in an R-1 Zoning District at 3008 29th Avenue NE <br /> Adopted this 28th day of February,2012. <br /> iaLvyor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for administration: <br /> City Manager <br />
