CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> RESOLUTION 12-064 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A STEWARDSHIP FUND AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> MISSISSIPPI WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (MWMO) IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $2,000 FOR A PILOT STUDY OF RETENTION <br /> RATES OF GRASSY AREAS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony's Parks Works Department received a Mini-Grant <br /> from the MWMO in 2010 offset the cost of a Core Aerator; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony's Parks Department has applied for and been <br /> approved for a Stewardship Fund Grant from the MWMO; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Anthony's Parks Department would conduct a Pilot Study to <br /> determine if hydraulic retention rates of grassy areas in poor soil can <br /> increase through deep core aeration backfilled with sand or other porous <br /> media; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Stewardship Fund is in the amount of$2,000 with the City of St. <br /> Anthony matching funds of$1,000. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> Village hereby approves a Stewardship Fund Agreement with the Mississippi <br /> Watershed Management Organization(MWMO) in the amount of$2,000 for a Pilot <br /> Study of Retention Rates of Grassy Areas. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of Lune 2012. <br /> yor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk �. <br /> Reviewed for administration: <br /> City Manager <br /> FACouncil Meetings\2012\06262012\Rescity mwmo.doc <br />
