Resolution #74-022 A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE 1974 BUDGET - This resolut- <br /> ion is a routine bookkeeping procedure to transfer funds from accounts which <br /> have excess funds into ones which are in the red. <br /> 7. Old Business <br /> a. Final approval of Henkel's Addition. Everything appears to be in order <br /> regarding the final plat. <br /> ACTION: Recommend approval. <br /> 8. New Business <br /> a. Appointment of tree inspector: A new state statute requires that the <br /> Council appoint a tree inspector. We have three maintenance men who have <br /> qualified for appointment. <br /> ACTION: My recommendation is that we appoint Larry Hamer, Public Works Supt. <br /> as City Tree Inspector <br /> b. Discussion of appointment of Planning Commission member. The Council <br /> should determine if they want to interview candidates again or appoint <br /> someone from the last interview which was relatively recent. <br /> ACTION: Recommend appointment as soon as possible as Planning Commission <br /> has problems in the summer with attendance due to vacations, etc. In addition <br /> their work load is quite heavy now. <br /> c. Discussion of extension of bike path routes. Councilman Haik requested <br /> that this item be on the agenda so we could discuss connecting our bike trails <br /> with New Brighton and Minneapolis. <br /> ACTION: Recommend we request Kiwanis Club to purchase additional signs and <br /> that we extend the trail system. <br /> 9. Communications/Petitions <br /> 10. Reports <br /> a. Revenue Sharing Report. Enclosed is the report regarding our revenue <br /> sharing funds that the Council requested. <br /> b.
