This ordinance will pick up some language we dropped <br /> from our ordinance when recodified and in addition will add a penalty for <br /> failing to purchase the license on time. <br /> ACTION: Recommend adoption with a stiff penalty and so we don't have people <br /> waiting several months to acquire them and have to spend so much time getting <br /> everyone licensed. <br /> 7. • Old Business <br /> 8. New Business <br /> • a. Dorsey Firm regarding proposed street assessment policies-Enclosed is a <br /> letter from Tom Hay regarding our proposed assessment policy. <br /> ACTION: Proceed with public meeting regarding assessment policy. <br /> b. Discussion of sewer rate increase. In actuality we must both increase <br /> our sewer rate and redistribute the burden of the sewer costs. Jim has a <br /> rather lengthy report regarding the subject and I feel we should review it <br /> and then direct the attorney to prepare an ordinance based on whichever <br /> allocation we feel is best. <br /> ACTION: Review and refer to attorney. <br /> c. Discussion of "Ride Along Policy". (Police Dept. ) Attached is a draft of <br /> a proposed program that Chief Brown, Special Duty Officer Donald Hickerson <br /> and myself have prepared and would like the council to review and hopefully <br /> adopt. <br /> ACTION: Council <br /> 9. Communications/Petitions <br /> a. St. Anthony Nursing Home regarding parking. Attached is a letter from <br /> Mrs. Post, the administrator of the Nursing Home. <br /> ACTION: Council <br /> • b. Hennepin County Public Works regarding proposed revocation CSAH 27. I <br /> have requested Larry Vickrey to review the statutes regarding revocation. <br /> Frankly, if we can I would recommend we refuse to concur. <br /> ACTION: Council <br />
