Maps etc. will be available so we <br /> can proceed to determine districts. However, I don't believe I will be able <br /> to have the policy revised or the further definition of area assessments, <br /> unit assessments and routine maintenance by Tuesday. <br /> • b. Carol Brown-Fredrick Herfurth Realty regarding new sign design for <br /> realty office. <br /> 8. New Business <br /> a. Discussion of basement bar in Stonehouse. I will have some preliminary <br /> plans, etc. available for you to review. <br /> b. Traffic Control Sign Agreement with Jack Anderson. Attached are copies <br /> of the agreement with Mr. Anderson. In addition to completing the survey,etc. <br /> he will file the forms, etc. necessary for us to be reimbursed by the state <br /> for his services. <br /> ACTION: Recommend approval. <br /> 9. Communications/Petitions <br /> a. Letter from Ray Lappagard, Commissioner of Highways regarding MSA. <br /> b. Letter-State of Minnesota regarding special levy claims. The attached <br /> letter indicated that we have exceeded our levy limit and must either take a <br /> reduction of $1,711.06 in our municipal aid or agree to levy $5,185.03 less <br /> next year. <br /> ACTION: I would recommend that we take the $1,711.06 penalty instead of <br /> reducing our levy. ley reasoning for this is that we need all of the revenue <br /> possible this year and next and with the legislature toying with making <br /> modifications in the levy limitation law I wouldn't want to decrease our levy <br /> for fear it might be used as the basis for some new limitation, etc. <br />
