CITY OF ST. ANTHONY
COUNCIL AGENDA
July 22,1975
• 1. Call to Order
2. Roll Call
3. Council Minutes 7/8/75
4. Council Board Minutes
a. Planning Board Minutes 7/15/75
5. Public Hearing
6. Ordinances/Resolutions
a. Ordinance Amending Ordinance 135.00 Vacations. All of the contracts the
city have with unions call for employees to receive 4 weeks vacation after
15 years. The non-union city employees have requested that they receive
the same.
ACTION: Recommend approval.
7. Old Business
a. Discussion of tree planting program. I will have information available
for the Council at the meeting regarding tree prices, quantities we could
buy with budgeted monies and possible locations for planting them.
• 8. New Business
a. Discussion of ornamental street lighting on St. Anthony Boulevard
adjacent to Gross Golf Course and Sunset Cemetary. The city at the present
time is paying approximately $50 per light for 4 street lights located in
the area of the entrances to the cemetary and the golf course. Because of
changes NSP will make in their service to the golf course and the cemetary
we would have to spend somewhere between $300 to $1000 to keep these lights
in there present location. I recommend that we remove the lights rather
than spend money to retain them. Gross already has lights of their own by
the entrances and Sunset could easily install lighting. We have no money
budgeted for the changeover.
ACTION: Council
b. The City Engineer and myself will open bids for the walkway at 11:30 A.M.
Tuesday and intend to have the bids evaluated so we can make a recom=-ndation
to the Council at the meeting.
ACTION: Recommend we e-.,ard contract.
9. Communications & Petitions
a. Letter-Association of Metro Municipalities regarding lst year of operation.
-Informational
ACTION: File
b. Letter MTC regarding bus shelters. Attached is a letter from Mrs.
Rainville regarding procedures to be followed to qualify for bus shelters.
I have talked to the MTC staff and they advised that the Council establish
or determine some possible locations and then the city staff and the MTC
staff will determine if a shelter is warranted. If the shelter is warranted
