After due consideration of the foregoing bids, Member Stauffer introduced the <br /> following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> • RESOLUTION 75-035 <br /> A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br /> FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT NO. 1975-001 OF TO <br /> CITY OF ST. ANTEIDNY TO VICTOR CARISON & SONS <br /> INC. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony, Minnesota <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. It is hereby found and determined and declared that the lowest responsible <br /> bidder for the work and materials necessary for the construction of sidewalk <br /> improvement project 1975-001 of the City is Victor Carlson & Sons, Inc. of St. <br /> Louis Park, Minnesota, whose bid for the construction of the improvement is in <br /> the total base amount of $13,042.50; that the bid is in all respects in accordance <br /> with law and with the published advertisement for bids and with the plans and <br /> specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file in the offices <br /> of the City Clerk and Engineer; and that the Engineer has recommended that the <br /> bid be accepted and the bid is hereby accepted. <br /> 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make <br /> and execute a contract on behalf of the City with said bidder in accordance <br /> with the terms of his bid, when such bidder shall have furnished a contractor's <br /> bond in the amount of the bid, conditioned as required by law. <br /> 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to retain the certified <br /> check or bid bond furnished by said bidder until the execution and f iling of <br /> • his contract and bond in the office of the City Clerk, and to return the certified <br /> checks and bid bonds Banished by the other bidders. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Councilman Sauer, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following members <br /> voted in favor thereof: Sundland, Sauer, Stauffer and the following members <br /> voted against the same: None whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed <br /> and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk. <br /> • <br />
