I have <br /> talked to representatives from Minneapolis Traffic Engineering, <br /> Rodger Short and Alderman Dziedzic. Minneapolis wants our <br /> response very soon. To use M.S .A. funds we would have to <br /> get the proper traffic counts, the signal specifications , <br /> meet M.S .A. warrant requirements , and possibly prepare an <br /> environmental assessment or Environmental Impact Statement <br /> because it is a Park Board Roadway. For our rather limited <br /> cost participation, it' s not worth the effort and time : one <br /> and one-half months minimum. I feel the light definitely <br /> should be installed by late August before school starts . <br /> The M.S .A. application could delay that. <br /> ACTION: Recommend using funds in Account 499-1 (Capital <br /> Improvements) . There is sufficient money therein, <br /> I believe; and also authorize the Manager to sign <br /> the necessary agreements pending the review of the <br /> City Attorney. <br /> B. Highcrest Road Sanitary Sewer. Short-Elliott-Hendrickson, Inc. <br /> ACTION: Recommend Approval of the Suggested Repairs . <br /> C. Richard Kristyniak Pension. He has had a special bill pro- <br /> posed.
