-3- <br /> The <br /> 3-The preliminary plat of Horton Connett was was reviewed and after discussion, <br /> it was moved by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey that the <br /> preliminary plat be tabled and that it be noted that Lots 1 and 13 are below <br /> minimum size. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Y. A. Yorsunsky appeared before the Council and discussed in detail his <br /> request for the extension of a special use permit for the construction of a <br /> 157 bed Nursing Home at Foss Road and 37th Avenue N. E. <br /> Upon motion by Mayor O'Connor seconded by Councilman Sorenson, it was moved <br /> that the special use permit be granted a one year extention. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Sorenson <br /> Nay: Bailey <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Park Board members appeared before the Council and asked for a clarif- <br /> ication as to the Board's duties and responsibilities. They were instructed <br /> • by Mayor O'Connor that as a Board, they would report to the Council, and that <br /> the carrying out of the details of the Park Program would be through the <br /> Village Managers Office. A meeting was set for 7:30 P.M. on February 1, 1966 <br /> to discuss capital expenditures for the 1966 season. <br /> A request of the Volunteer fire Department to join the Capital City Mutual <br /> Aid Association was discussed. Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded <br /> by Councilman Springer it was moved that the request be tabled for additional <br /> information as to member cities, bi-laws, and insurance agreements. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> A report of negotiations between the Village, Minnesota State Labor Concili- <br /> ation representative, and Local No. 49 was presented to the Council with the <br /> following recommendations effective July 1, 1966: <br /> Public Works Department: <br /> Foreman - $631.00 per month <br /> Mechanic, Heavy Equip. Operator - $600.00 per month <br /> Sewer and Water Operator - $553.00 per month <br /> Light Equip. operator - $533.00 per month <br /> Other benefits as per 1965 Contract. <br /> After discussion of the report, it was moved by Councilman Dougherty seconded <br /> by Mayor O'Connor that the report be approved as submitted and that a contract <br /> be drawn incorporating the approved salary scale and benefits. <br /> Voting on the Motion: <br /> -Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nays None <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
