Beckstrom, Morris and Beckstrom Attorn- <br /> eys, for the opening of an alley from Roosevelt Street to Stinson Boulevard app- <br /> roximately 150' North of St. Anthony Boulevard, it was moved by Councilman <br /> Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Bailey that the Village take no action to <br /> acquire the right of way from the Minneapolis Park Board. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nay: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved <br /> that Display Fixtures Inc. be authorized to prepare plans and specifications for <br /> the interior remodeling of the Off Sale facilities of Store No. 1. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nary: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> DeWayne Olson of Comstock and Davis, stated in his report that it would be nec- <br /> essary to solve the drainage problems in streets north of 37th Avenue before any <br /> • paving could be instituted. He discussed at length the drainage propcsal, jnclud <br /> ing the Silver Lake Outlet and also improvement of County Ditch, that was prep- <br /> ared by Carley and Associates, New Brighton Village engineers. The Village att- <br /> orney was to be contacted to determine what affect this proposal would have on <br /> pending litigation with New Brighton. The Stinson Boulevard Storm Sewer and <br /> paving project was discussed and it was moved by Councilman Bailey seconded by <br /> C3uncilman Sorenson that the Village attorney and Manager be instructed to pre- <br /> pare an agreement based on cost formulas approved in September of 1964 with the <br /> Council of the City of Columbia Heights and the Village of St. Anthony. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> After an explanation by DeWayne Olson that an omission had been made in the spec- <br /> ifications for chemical equipment for well No. 5, it was moved by Councilman <br /> Dougherty and seconded by Mayor O'Connor, that change order NO. 1, Chemical Equip- <br /> ment Additions Well No. 5, be approved. <br /> Voting on the motion; <br /> Aye: O'Connor-, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Nary: None <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Tae Village engineer was instructed to review the cost split proposed by Carley <br /> and Associates for Ditch No. 5 Improvement and make a recommendation to the <br /> Village Council. <br />
