VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY • COUNCIL M DXM March 8, 1966 The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday March 8, 1966. The following wero prevent at roll call: Curtis O'Connor, W. R. Dougherty, Clem Springer, Robert Bailey, Richard Sorenson. also presents Village Attorney, Raymond Haik Public Works Supt., Norbert Maher Village Manager, John Printon and the following were absent: None It was noted that on page 2, minutes of February 22, 1966, that 11subjeat to engineers approval" was omitted on approval of Minneapolis Gas Company per- mit., and that a typing error page 3 refers to Ditch #5, should read Ditch #3. Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Springer it was moved that the minutes be approved as amended. Motion Carried. John Andrychowica appeared representing the Park and Recreation Board. After discussion of the Board's recommendation of extending the contract of Houle Landscaping Co. to complete the 1965 Contract that was terminated December 31, 1965, it was moved by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Council- man Bailey that the Village Manager be directed to negotiate a contract with Houle Landscaping Co. for the completion of the 1965 contract based on proposed offer submitted by Brauer and Associates, Park Consultants. ?Notion Carried. Brauer and Associates to be directed to stake tree locations for American Legion tree planting program. Sidewalk locations to be checked before planting of trees along right of way. Mayor O'Connor was presented with a six year pedestrian safety award from the Minnesota Safety Council. The Village Council and Chief Brown were commended for their efforts in promotion of pedestrian safety. Councilman Sorenson introduced Resolution No. 66-018, and moved that it be adopted. _
