VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL M DXM <br /> March 8, 1966 <br /> The regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of St. Anthony <br /> was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday March 8, 1966. <br /> The following wero prevent at roll call: <br /> Curtis O'Connor, W. R. Dougherty, Clem Springer, Robert Bailey, Richard <br /> Sorenson. <br /> also presents <br /> Village Attorney, Raymond Haik <br /> Public Works Supt., Norbert Maher <br /> Village Manager, John Printon <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> None <br /> It was noted that on page 2, minutes of February 22, 1966, that 11subjeat to <br /> engineers approval" was omitted on approval of Minneapolis Gas Company per- <br /> mit., and that a typing error page 3 refers to Ditch #5, should read Ditch #3. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Springer it was <br /> moved that the minutes be approved as amended. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> John Andrychowica appeared representing the Park and Recreation Board. <br /> After discussion of the Board's recommendation of extending the contract <br /> of Houle Landscaping Co. to complete the 1965 Contract that was terminated <br /> December 31, 1965, it was moved by Councilman Sorenson, seconded by Council- <br /> man Bailey that the Village Manager be directed to negotiate a contract with <br /> Houle Landscaping Co. for the completion of the 1965 contract based on <br /> proposed offer submitted by Brauer and Associates, Park Consultants. <br /> ?Notion Carried. <br /> Brauer and Associates to be directed to stake tree locations for American <br /> Legion tree planting program. Sidewalk locations to be checked before <br /> planting of trees along right of way. <br /> Mayor O'Connor was presented with a six year pedestrian safety award from <br /> the Minnesota Safety Council. The Village Council and Chief Brown were <br /> commended for their efforts in promotion of pedestrian safety. <br /> Councilman Sorenson introduced Resolution No. 66-018, and moved that it be <br /> adopted. _ <br />
