ANTHONY <br /> ` COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> January 23, 1968 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Emond, Crouse, Springer <br /> It was noted on page two, resolution 68-007, that the date of improvement "cut <br /> off" should read, "March 1, 1968," and that on page five, that the appointment <br /> of Comstock and Davis as Village engineers was omitted. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Crouse it was <br /> moved that the minutes be approved as corrected. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Donald Kronk, Planning Board, presented the minutes of the Board's meeting <br /> of January 16, 1968. <br /> h . Currys builder, 3817 Macalaster Drive, discussed at length his request <br /> to use stucco to face fire walls. Motion by Councilman Springer seconded by <br /> Councilman Crouse that the request to face the block fire walls with stucco <br /> be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The Council next considered the findings of the Planning Board in regard to the <br /> request to rename 314 Avenue N.E. and 321-2 Avenue N.E. Mr. Dick Anderson <br /> presented arguments in opposition to the change and Mrs. Szafranski spoke in <br /> favor of the change. Mr. Jerry Kindall also spoke in favor of the change. He <br /> stated that he had personally been inconvenienced by mistakes in de livery due <br /> to the one-half naming of the two streets. Mr. John Goldner, 2800 - 311-2 Avenue <br /> N.E ., expressed the opinion that there was no clear cut majority expression in <br /> favor of a change in street names. After further discussion, Councilman Emond• <br /> moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the Council follow the recomm- <br /> endations of the Planning Board for street name changes on 3111 and 321-2 Avenue <br /> N.E. <br /> Voting on the Motion: <br /> Aye: Dougherty, Springer, Emond <br /> Nay: O'Connor, Crouse <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Gordon Hedlund presented a zoning change request for property north of <br /> 39th Avenue N.E. and East of Silver Lake Road. His proposal consisted of a <br /> town house complex with access on Penrod Lane. After discussion, motion by <br /> Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the request be deeded. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
