t <br /> VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> February 27, 1968 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call: <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse <br /> Absent: None <br /> Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Springer that the min- <br /> utes of the regular meeting of February 13, 1968, be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The 1967 Financial Statement for the Municipal Liquor Stores as prepared by <br /> Jerry M. Kessel, Village Clerk, was reviewed. Raymond McFadden, Liquor Store <br /> Manager, discussed various phases of the liquor operation, including invent- <br /> ory procedures, inventory on hand and purchasing. The Council commended <br /> Mr. McFadden for the excellent job he has done as Liquor Store Manager and <br /> • also commended Jerry Kessel for the preparation of the financial statement. <br /> Robert Mesenbring presented the Planning Board minutes of February 20, 1968. <br /> The request of Pilgrim Cleaners for the rezoning from light industrial to <br /> commercial, the East 90.78 feet of the South 125 feet of Lot 5, Block 8, <br /> Mounds View Acres 2nd Addition, was discussed. Parking, restraining curbing, <br /> and sign proposals were reviewed. There being no further discussion, Council- <br /> man Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse to approve the request <br /> for the rezoning and to refer the building plan to the Planning Board for <br /> complete parking, planting and sign plans, and with the provision that <br /> Pilgrim Cleaners develop the property and also that the Village Attorney be <br /> directed to prepare an amendment to the zoning ordinance. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Emond, Crouse <br /> Nay: None <br /> Mption Carried. <br /> /After discussion, Councilman Springer moved and seconded by Councilman <br /> Dougherty that the request for a sign by the Industrial Credit Company, <br /> Apache Plaza, be referred to the Planning Board to determine the justification <br /> of approving said sign over the approval of possible future requests for <br /> signs of interior court businesses. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
