-2- <br /> Mr. <br /> 2-Mr. Scarp and Mr. Heilman were present to present a revised building plan <br /> for their building on Anthony Lane. Mr. Scarp stated that he felt the plan <br /> workable with a modification of the original building plan. He explained <br /> to the Council the nature of the business he and Mr. Heilman were engaged in. <br /> The new parking layout was discussed at length. Mayor O 'Connor moved and <br /> seconded by Councilman Dougherty that final approval be given the Scarp- <br /> Heilman addition providing for a modification of the building to provide for <br /> additional parking area. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The tabling action of the St. Anthony Shopping Center Sign by the Planning <br /> Board was discussed. No action was taken on the matter. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Springer that the <br /> final approval be given the Kylander plat and that the Mayor and Clerk be <br /> authorized to si gi the final plat on behalf of the Village. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that a suitable <br /> plaque be ordered in recognition of Mr. Lyle Elam's service as the first <br /> Village Municipal Judge and as a member of the Planning Board upon his leaving <br /> St. Anthony for a position in Baltimore, Maryland. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> A review of bids for the Improvement of Silver Lane opened at 12:00 o'clock <br /> noon on June 24, 1968, is as follows: <br /> Palda 6 Sons Inc. $77,656.94 Concrete Surfacing <br /> Victor Carlson & Sons 85,690.00 Concrete Surfacing <br /> Hennepin Blacktopping Co. Inc. 52,500.00 Asphalt Surfacing <br /> Dunkley Surfacing So, Inc. 47,607.14 Asphalt Surfacing <br /> Arnold Beckman 84,675.60 Concrete Surfacing <br /> After discussion, Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor <br /> that the bid of Dunkley Surfacing Co. Inc. in the amount of $47,607.14 for <br /> the asphalt surfacing of Silver Lane east of Silver Lake Road be accepted <br /> with a completion date of September 1, 1968. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that an acturial <br /> study for the Fire Department Pension Fund be approved in the amount of <br /> $750.00, said amount to be paid by the general fund. <br /> • Motion Carried. <br /> After discussion, Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty <br /> that the Village enter into agreement with the Hennepin County Sheriff's <br /> office per mutual aid agreement with the stipulation that the Village Manager <br /> be named as the requesting and responding authority. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
