VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> January 14, 1969 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P. M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Levandowski, <br /> Dougherty. <br /> Also present : Fred Richards, Village Attorney <br /> John Printon, Village Manager. <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the minutes <br /> of the regular meeting of December 23, 1968 be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor O'Connor presented a service award to Clem Springer on behalf of the Council . <br /> Mr. Lou Howitz, Planning Board Chairman, discussed a development proposal of the <br /> Apache Corporation with the Council . Mr. Coleman, Apache representative, briefly <br /> discussed the proposal and asked the Council to consider holding a public hearing <br /> on a change in zoning. Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman <br /> Emond that the Planning Board be directed to hold a public hearing on February 4th, <br /> 1969 to consider the Apache proposal as per the recommendations of the Planning <br /> Board. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> A tabulation of bids for the supplying of one dump truck is as follows : <br /> Or- <br /> Market Ford Company Model F950 $9,435.00 <br /> Bill Boyer Ford Company Model F950 9,466.00 <br /> Midway Ford Company Model F850 9,712.52 <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the bids be <br /> rejected. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> A letter from the former Volunteer Fire Department dated January 14, 1969 was <br /> read by the Mayor. Councilman Dougherty stated that he felt the Council should <br /> take action on item #1 and discuss the other 3 items at a later date. Councilman <br /> Emond stated that the letter did not allow for a division into areas. Mayor <br /> O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Crouse that the letter be tabled and <br /> discussed at a later date. <br /> Councilman Dougherty offered an amendment to the motion: That item 2, 3, 4 be <br /> tabled and that item 1 of the letter of January 14, 1969 be acted on tonight. <br /> Councilman Levandowski seconded the motion on the amendment. <br /> Voting on the amendment : <br /> Aye: Levandowski, Dougherty. <br /> Nay: Crouse, Emond, O'Connor. <br /> Amendment not carried. <br />
