VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> April 22, 1969 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8000 o'clock P. M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Emond, Levandowski, Dougherty. <br /> Absent : Crouse. <br /> Also present_ : Raymond Haik, Village attorney <br /> John Printo n, Village Manager <br /> Motion by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Emond that the minutes of <br /> the regular meeting of April 8, 1969 be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Curt Englund presented the minutes of the Planning Board meeting of April 15, <br /> 1969. Mr. Steve Davis, attorney, representing Minneapolis Scientific Controls, <br /> reviewed his presentation of the April 15, 1969 Planning Board meeting. The Council <br /> discussed the matter of the rezoning of the property adjacent to the Standard <br /> station on 37th Avenue N. E. at length. Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by <br /> Mayor O'Connor that a hearing be held on the request for rezoning the N.W. corner <br /> of Silver Lake Road and 37th Avenue N. E. from Light Industrial to Commercial . <br /> • Councilman Emond questioned the need for a variance from the platting ordinance. <br /> The matter of platting was discussed at length. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Dougherty, O'Connor. <br /> May: Levandowski, Emond. <br /> Absent not voting: Crouse. <br /> Motion not carried. <br /> After further discussion, Councilman Emond moved and seconded by Councilman <br /> Levandowski that the Planning Board be directed to hold a public hearing on the <br /> zoning request of Minneapolis Scientific Controls. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Gagne appeared regarding his plan for the construction of the Marshal Screw <br /> Products building. After review of the plan, Councilman Dougherty moved and second- <br /> ed by Mayor O'Connor that the plan for the construction of the Marshal Screw <br /> Products building be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> • Tho PlarmIng Bnards recommendation for the development of property on Silver Lake <br /> Road from Silver Lane to property south of 39th Avenue N. E. was reviewed by Mr. <br /> Englund. Mr. Gordon Hedlund reviewed his proposal for the development of Lots 11 <br /> thru 16. He further reviewed several proposals for the development of his property. <br /> A number of residents present expressed opposition to Mr. Hedlunds proposal for <br /> a commercial development but favored the Planning Boards 'Town House ' development <br />
