-2- <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Crouse to affirm the Planning <br /> Board's action to deny the request for a permit for an addition of a two car garage <br /> by a prospective owner on Stinson Boulevard because the party requesting the <br /> • permit is not the owner but would reconsider when he becomes the owner. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 'Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to approve the <br /> new proposed sign for the south side of the American Legion Hall as recommended <br /> by the Planning Board since it does conform to the sign ordinance code. <br /> 1"'1_7 tion carried. <br /> Mayor Miedtke introduced Resolution #70-011 and moved its adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION #70-011 <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPORTION- <br /> MENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR LOCAL <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Kukielka. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, Kukielka <br /> Nay: None <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Bids were received for aggregate, blacktop and asphaltic oils a copy of which is <br /> attached to these minutes. <br /> Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to award the <br /> bids to Anderson Aggregate for aggregate, to T.A. Schifsky for blacktop and to <br /> Barber Oil for asphaltic oil. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> Mayor Miedtke ruled that the Liquor Store Report be filed and that the Village <br /> Liquor Store Manager be commended on a job well done. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond to approve the sub- <br /> stitution of attorneys for the Soo Line case. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Mayor ordered that the February reports from the Police and Fire Departments <br /> be filed. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to discontinue <br /> doing business with the 0ld Peoria Company based on Coun6el1s recommendation, <br /> pending a specific ruling being obtained from the Attorney Generat's office <br /> concerning this specific case, Councilman Kukielka's sitting on the Council while <br /> working for the Old Peoria Company, who in turn normally sells to the Liquor Store. <br /> I <br />
