-4- <br /> Council <br /> 4-Council asked for the following to be put on the Agenda for the April 14, 1970, <br /> meeting: <br /> A recommendation from the Police Department as to possible control on flow of <br /> traffic on Coolidge Street N.E., back of Foodtown. <br /> Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Kukielka that we pay <br /> the verified claims. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Emond to ratify the following <br /> proclamation regarding the census : <br /> WHEREAS, the Nineteenth Decennial Census of the United States will be cond- <br /> ucted beginning on April 1, 1970; <br /> WHEREAS, all the inhabitants of the Village of St. Anthony are to be enum- <br /> erated in this census; and <br /> WHEREAS, the information collected in the census serves many useful purposes, <br /> among which are apportionment of representation in Congress and other legis- <br /> lative bodies, measurement of the economic well-being and purchasing power <br /> of communities and their inhabitants, allotment of certain Federal and State <br /> tax revenues and other financial aid to- states, determination of future needs <br /> for public services, and numerous other useful purposes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the accuracy and completeness of the census for the Village of St. <br /> Anthony will determine its population rank among other communities of the <br /> 49 country; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Duane R. Miedtke, Mayor of the Village of St. Anthony do <br /> hereby proclaim April 1, 1970, as CENSUS DAY in Village of St. Anthony, and <br /> do urge all citizens to cooperate fully during the month of April with those <br /> who are charged with the responsibility of this most important work. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Mayor asked that the following items be put on the Agenda for the April 14, <br /> 1970, meeting: <br /> 1. Audit Report <br /> 2. Financing the 1963 bonds that we have not reassessed. <br /> 3. R3port and recommendation from the Manager on rating from the Underwriters ; <br /> Company <br /> 4.
