The Council members were provided with copies of the Newsletter which was about <br /> to be sent to the printers. <br /> • Action on ordinance relating to biennial elections was tabled. <br /> Consideration of cigarette and off sale beer licenses for Doc's Purity Dairy was <br /> tabled. <br /> Following Mr. Dulgar's request for directions regarding negotiations of a leasing <br /> arrangement with Mr. Joseph Sroga, Jr. for use of the property at the corner of <br /> Roosevelt and St. Anthony Road for a mini-park, the following motions were made: <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sundland to cease all negotiations <br /> with Mr. Sroga. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Miedtke, Sundland <br /> Nay: Haik, Sauer, Stauffer <br /> Motion not carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to direct the City Manager <br /> to continue negotiations with Mr. Sroga with a guideline of payments of approxi- <br /> mately $150.00 per month to be paid to Mr. Sroga for a period of three years with <br /> the provision that such rental payments could be applied to the purchase price of <br /> the land at the end of the lease period if the City so desired. <br /> • Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Sauer, Haik, Stauffer <br /> Nay: Miedtke, Sundland <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Before Mr. Dulgar and Councilman Haik and Sundland left at 9:05 P.M. for the <br /> New Brighton Council meeting it was agreed that a public hearing on street <br /> improvements suggested in the Comstock & Davis 1974 preliminary report on streets <br /> be scheduled for the end of May. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 9:05 P.M. and reconvened at 9:20 P.M. to discuss the <br /> above mentioned report with Mr. I.C. Comstock, City Engineer,who arrived at 9:05 <br /> P.M. <br /> Mr. Dulgar returned to the meeting at 10:30 P.M. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to begin proceedings to <br /> repair and/or to replace 29th Avenue N.F. , Coolidge St. N.E and Penrod-36th Avenue <br /> N.E. with a public hearing on such action to be set for May 28, 1974.
