• -4- <br /> Motion <br /> -4-Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sauer to designate Dr. Wm. <br /> Carr as Health Officer and Councilman Sundland and Councilman Stauffer as the <br /> other two members of the Board of Health of' the City of St. Anthony. <br /> • <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to amend the motion <br /> to substitute the name of Mr. Jerry Dulgar for that of Councilman Sundland. <br /> Motion to amend carried. <br /> Amended motion carried. <br /> The meeting was recessed at 8:20 P.M. and reconvened at 8:25 P.M. for a discuss- <br /> ion of the communication from the State Hwy. Dept. regarding a temporary signal <br /> and lighting at the intereection of Highway 8 and St. Anthony Blvd. No action <br /> was taken and the letter was filed as informational. <br /> The letter from Wil Johnson expressing his willingness to again serve on the <br /> Planning Board was filed as informational. <br /> The Police and Fire Reports for November 197► were directed filed. <br /> Following a report from the Manager regarding union contract negotiations the <br /> following motions were made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve the <br /> union contracts with the Police Department and the Municipal Liquor employees <br /> as presented by the Manager. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to reject the counter <br /> offer made by the Fire Department. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Consideration was given to the Manager's recommendations regarding clothing <br /> allowances and salaries to be paid to the City's non-union employees. <br /> Mr. Dulgar reported he was waiting the Attorney's comments on the new assessment <br /> policy and suggested utilizing the next newsletter of the Independent School <br /> District ;x'282 as an additional means of informing the residents of the consider- <br /> ation of that policy February 11th. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to designate the <br /> regular Council meeting on February 11, 1975 as a public meeting on the proposed <br /> assessment policy and at that time to set the date for a discussion of the <br /> proposed improvements to City streets including 29th Avenue, Coolidge Street and <br /> 36th Avenue-Penrod Lane, with all residents who had previously been informed of <br /> this street improvement project to be notified by letter of the latter meeting. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> It was decided that the Council would consider the new zoning ordinance, with Mr. <br /> • Fornell's recommendations on Planned Unit Development included, at the January <br /> 28, 1975 Council meeting. <br />
