• -4- Motion -4-Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sauer to designate Dr. Wm. Carr as Health Officer and Councilman Sundland and Councilman Stauffer as the other two members of the Board of Health of' the City of St. Anthony. • Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to amend the motion to substitute the name of Mr. Jerry Dulgar for that of Councilman Sundland. Motion to amend carried. Amended motion carried. The meeting was recessed at 8:20 P.M. and reconvened at 8:25 P.M. for a discuss- ion of the communication from the State Hwy. Dept. regarding a temporary signal and lighting at the intereection of Highway 8 and St. Anthony Blvd. No action was taken and the letter was filed as informational. The letter from Wil Johnson expressing his willingness to again serve on the Planning Board was filed as informational. The Police and Fire Reports for November 197► were directed filed. Following a report from the Manager regarding union contract negotiations the following motions were made: Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve the union contracts with the Police Department and the Municipal Liquor employees as presented by the Manager. • Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Haik to reject the counter offer made by the Fire Department. Motion carried. Consideration was given to the Manager's recommendations regarding clothing allowances and salaries to be paid to the City's non-union employees. Mr. Dulgar reported he was waiting the Attorney's comments on the new assessment policy and suggested utilizing the next newsletter of the Independent School District ;x'282 as an additional means of informing the residents of the consider- ation of that policy February 11th. Motion by Councilman Haik, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to designate the regular Council meeting on February 11, 1975 as a public meeting on the proposed assessment policy and at that time to set the date for a discussion of the proposed improvements to City streets including 29th Avenue, Coolidge Street and 36th Avenue-Penrod Lane, with all residents who had previously been informed of this street improvement project to be notified by letter of the latter meeting. Motion carried. It was decided that the Council would consider the new zoning ordinance, with Mr. • Fornell's recommendations on Planned Unit Development included, at the January 28, 1975 Council meeting.
