Mr. Hubmer stated the specifications detail these <br /> 3 issues and it is the contractor's responsible to assure damage does not occur. If damage <br /> 4 were to occur,the contractor is responsible to correct it. <br /> 5 Sparks asked if the contractor could contest the damage if the homes are not inspected <br /> 6 prior to the start of the project. Mr. Hubmer stated he will do some further research on <br /> 7 that issue and report back. <br /> 8 Thuesen stated he would like the City to do what ever possible to address the concerns of <br /> 9 the residents and make them comfortable with this project. <br /> 10 Mr. Hubmer stated he will answer the other questions raised by Mr. Wenker at the <br /> I l February 6, 2001 neighborhood meeting. <br /> 12 Mayor Cavanaugh noted the attendance of John Shardlow and asked the Council to receive his report at <br /> 13 this time. <br /> 0 XII. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br /> 15 A. Report on Northwest Quadrant Planning Steering Committee <br /> 16 City Manager Michael Morrison stated he asked John Shardlow to attend the meeting tonight to <br /> 17 present an update on the information from the Northwest Quadrant Planning Steering <br /> 18 Committee. <br /> 19 John Shardlow, DSU,reviewed the proposed meeting date schedule. He explained their first <br /> 20 meeting was organizational and all future meetings will provide an opportunity to listen to <br /> 21 direction and provide input. The February 16, 2001 meeting will be with developers to obtain <br /> 22 their input and the additional meeting will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2001. Then a <br /> 23 community forum meeting will be held in March. After that,the plan will be refined and brought <br /> 24 back to the Steering Committee. <br /> 25 Mr. Shardlow stated they have been clear with the Steering Committee and may have a different <br /> 26 recommendation than will be received from the Steering Committee. He reviewed the different <br /> 27 uses people want to see made of the Salvation Army property and stated they will continue to <br /> 28 bring people and input into the process. <br /> 29 Horst asked about a potential purchase by Hennepin County Parks. Mr. Shardlow stated a <br /> 30 discussion occurred but the Committee was not solicited for its viewpoint. <br /> 0 <br />
