City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> April 9, 2002 <br /> Page 10 <br /> Councilmember Horst asked for an update on confined space. Hewitt stated that they had <br /> 2 a plethora of training things that they are seeking at this time. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 Mayor Hodson thanked Chief Hewitt for his presentation. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Chief Hewitt stated that they appreciate the support of the City Council, City Manager, <br /> 7 other Department Heads, the City Clerk and City Hall staff, and the citizens of St. <br /> 8 Anthony. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 VII. GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. <br /> 11 None. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VIII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCILMEMBERS. <br /> 14 Mike Mornson indicated that the Charitable Gambling Organization would be working with Jim <br /> 15 Demoracki. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Mornson indicated that Autumn Woods was developed with a Housing Revenue Bond. He <br /> 18 stated that they were requesting another re-funding of reduction in interest rates, which is of no <br /> 19 cost to the City. He added that they may be holding a public hearing in the month of May. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Mornson stated that the May 28, 2002 Council meeting will have Jill Schultz, media consultant <br /> for the Apache Plaza Project. He stated that she is currently working on communication plans <br /> 40 for several of the goals that are to be adopted at the next meeting. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mornson and Mayor Hodson met with Len Pratt to discuss the April 26, 2002 Volunteer Dinner. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Mornson indicated that Culver's is moving forward, and scheduled to go before the Planning <br /> 28 Commission in April, and hold a public hearing in May. He added that they hope to break <br /> 29 ground in June and have a new restaurant by Thanksgiving of 2002. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Mornson stated that he has authorized some upgrades to the AV equipment. He stated that the <br /> 32 new equipment should be in by May. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Councilmember Horst indicated that there was a Community Services Board Meeting held last <br /> 35 week. He indicated that they would be setting up a series of task forces to examine different <br /> 36 aspects of the school system including community services. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Councilmember Sparks stated that she had nothing to report this evening. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Councilmember Thuesen had nothing to report this evening. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Councilmember Faust stated that the last community concert of the year was on May 13, 2002, <br /> 43 and encouraged community participation. <br /> is <br />
