COMMUNITY FORUM. <br /> 2 Mayor Hodson invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items <br /> 3 that are not on the regular agenda. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Hearing none, Mayor Hodson moved forward with the agenda. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 IV. CONSENT AGENDA. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 1. Consider March 26, 2002 Council meeting minutes. <br /> 10 2. Consider licenses and permits. <br /> 11 3. Consider payment of claims. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, second by Councilmember Faust, to approve the Consent <br /> 14 Agenda. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 V. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 1. Board of Review. Tamara Doolittle, Hennepin County Appraiser, will be present. <br /> 6Mayor Hodson opened the Board of Review for public comment at 7:10 p.m. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Doolittle welcomed everyone to the local Board of Appeal and Equalization. She added <br /> 24 that the name for the process has changed, but the function remains the same. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Tamara Doolittle came forward to address the Council and explain the function of her <br /> 27 office, and the appeal process. She also introduced Paul Sandvik, a residential appraiser <br /> 28 at the Hennepin County Assessors office. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Doolittle stated that, within Hennepin County, there are forty-four cities and one <br /> 31 township that turn their assessment into the County Assessors office. She stated that <br /> 32 eighteen of the cities, including St. Anthony, contracted with Doolittle's office. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Doolittle indicated that value notices were mailed on February 27, 2002. Doolittle <br /> 35 indicated that they have received about thirty calls from residents of St. Anthony, and <br /> 36 have completed eight reviews. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Doolittle indicated that anyone who was not satisfied with the results of their review <br /> 39 could appeal their value tonight. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Doolittle indicated that the final day to reconvene for this board is April 27, 2002. <br /> 42 <br /> itMayor Hodson closed the public hearing at 7:13 p.m. <br /> 45 Mayor Hodson thanked Doolittle for her presentation. <br />
