City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> June 11, 2002 <br /> Page 8 <br /> •1 o Target completion date: June 2002. <br /> P <br /> 2 o June 2002 will be August 15, 2002. <br /> 3 • Enhance community involvement in critical city issues: <br /> 4 o Updated WEB page, installed improvements to cable access channel, fire and <br /> 5 liquor departments develop customer service feedback cards, Mayor's Coffee <br /> 6 Hours. <br /> 7 o Target completion date: December 2002. <br /> 8 o Status is on-going. <br /> 9 Mornson stated that they are making a lot of progress on their goals. <br /> 10 Morrison informed the Council that they have two offers at this time for the acre lot that they <br /> 11 own on Kenzie Terrace. He stated that both offers look very favorable with no TIF assistance <br /> 12 requested. <br /> 13 Mornson suggested that they cancel the City Council meeting of July 9, 2002 due to the lack of <br /> 14 items on the agenda. The Council agreed to cancel the meeting at this point. <br /> 15 Councilmember Thuesen congratulated the liquor operations for their financial successes <br /> 16 revealed in the April report. <br /> 0 Councilmember Thuesen asked what was happening with skateboard park and the associated <br /> 18 noise. Mornson stated that he thought the Parks Commission decided at their last meeting to <br /> 19 comprise a sub-committee to address the concerns regarding the low-frequency noise. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Mayor Hodson stated that he hoped that they could dampen the noise for residents, but stated <br /> 22 that it was unlikely that the noise could be eliminated. He added that the park served a great <br /> 23 purpose for youths,keeping them out of trouble. <br /> 24 Councilmember Faust stated that he attended another Sister-Cities meeting. He indicated that <br /> 25 they would be in St. Anthony on the evening of June 6, 2002 and, hopefully, attend the National <br /> 26 Night Out in the City of St. Anthony. He reviewed the rest of the agenda for the visitors with the <br /> 27 Council. <br /> 28 Councilmember Faust stated that he would attend the League of Minnesota Cities conference <br /> 29 next week. <br /> 30 Councilmember Faust suggested that they take a tour of the city on June 25, 2002 when they are <br /> 31 doing the lobbying effort for the Northwest Quadrant, and will have a bus. <br /> 32 Mayor Hodson stated that he thought that the tour was a great idea, as did the rest of the Council. <br /> 33 Mornson stated that he would arrange the tour. <br /> IX.
