PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 14 None. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 VI. REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONS AND STAFF. <br /> 17 A. Planning Commission report on June 18, 2002 meeting;. The Planning Commission <br /> 18 recommended approval of the four requests from Culver's owners: <br /> 19 Planning Commissioner Vice Chair Stille came forward to discuss the issues that were <br /> doaddressed at the June 18, 2002 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> 22 LResolution 02-054, re: Consider following four requests to allow construction of a <br /> 23 Culver's Family Restaurant at 4000/4001 Silver Lake Road: <br /> 24 <br /> 25 A. Conditional use permit for a drive-through restaurant located less than 250 <br /> 26 feet from a residential one. <br /> 27 B. On-site parking variance for required number of spaces for every 50 <br /> 28 square feet of floor area for a fast food, take-out, or convenience <br /> 29 restaurant. <br /> 30 C. Lot combination for Lot 1, Block 1, Apache Plaza with Lot 2, Block 1, <br /> 31 Apache Plaza. <br /> 32 D. Rear yard setback variance of 4.25 feet to meet the 20-foot setback <br /> 33 requirement. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Councilmember Horst asked about the proposed colors of the building. Steve Sparks, <br /> 36 petitioner, came forward and displayed the color-boards that illustrated the compromised <br /> 37 colors of the siding, roof, and cement. The colors reflect toned-down versions of the <br /> 38 original Culvers proto-type. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Councilmember Horst asked why they were changing the colors. Stille stated that DSU <br /> 41 provided a letter of recommendation that included toning down the color scheme of the <br /> 42 restaurant, which several commissioners wanted to adhere to. He continued that the <br /> commissioners that requested the toned down variation would like to see the standards of <br /> Northwest Quadrant be established before the Planning Commission makes decisions of <br /> 45 this nature. <br />
