• City of St. Anthony <br /> page 3 <br /> Readings are obtained daily and entered into a log for the amount of water pumped for the City's <br /> use. This log is submitted to the State of Minnesota Health Department on a monthly bases with <br /> each 24 hours pumping record. <br /> Treatment and Storage Capacity. <br /> 1. Water Treatment Plant Capacity (Millions Gallons Per Day) <br /> Design Capacity 5 MGD <br /> Average Daily Production 1 MGD <br /> Emergency Capacity 1 MGD <br /> The City's storage is adequate to supply the city in any emergency with wells, storage and <br /> conservation measurers. <br /> Elevated Storage 250,000 gallons <br /> Ground Storage 2,000,000 gallons <br /> Other <br /> Total Storage Capacity 2,250,000 gallons <br /> • Conservation measures are in the City Ordinance Section 410.07 thru 410.11. <br /> 410.07 Taking Water Without Authority. It is unlawful for any person to use City <br /> water service without proper authority. <br /> 410.08 Water Restrictions. To promote and protect the public health, safety and welfare <br /> of the City and its residents, it may be necessary during periods of draught or unusual <br /> water use for the Council to declare the existence of any emergency with respect to the <br /> use of City water and to provide for restricted use. The Council will sit as an <br /> Emergency Water Supply Board, which may declare the existence of such emergencies <br /> as, and when, it may be necessary to impose and enforce water use restrictions. <br /> 410.09 Sprinkling Regulations. No person may draw or use the City water system for <br /> the purpose of watering lawns or gardens during any period of emergency as declared <br /> under Section 410.08 except during the days and hours permitted. Notice of the <br /> emergency and any permitted watering will be given by publication and posting. At no <br /> time may a hose larger than one-inch in diameter be used from any service pipe without <br /> special permission of the council, and upon payment of a fee set forth in Chapter 6 for <br /> the water to be used from such special connection. <br /> • <br /> 4 10.10 Penalty for Violation. If a person violates the water emergency provisions, the <br /> Council may cause the person's water service to be shut off. Service will not be restored <br /> until payment of the fee set forth in Chapter 6. <br />
