ANTHONY <br /> WHEREAS, in November, 1985, the Cities of Salo and St. Anthony recognized each <br /> other as Sister Cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, at that time, Salo City Manager Veikko Santero and City Clerk, Reijo <br /> Lindqvist, wrote to St. Anthony saying that Tellervo Lassooy-Saura, <br /> Chair, and other members of the Salo Finnish - American Society, were <br /> • to help create and administer contracts between various clubs and <br /> associations in our two cities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Salo Finnish - American Society celebrated its 50th Anniversary on <br /> October 6, 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tellervo Lassooy-Saura is completing her responsibilities as Chair of the <br /> Salo Finnish - American Society from 1975 to 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tellervo Lassooy-Saura hosted the visit of Mayor Bob Sundland and his <br /> wife, Ardelle, to Salo in 1989; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tellervo Lassooy-Saura energetically led the Salo Finnish - American <br /> Society in organizing the hospitality and host family lodging for over <br /> thirty people who visited Salo with the St. Anthony Orchestra in July, <br /> 1994; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tellervo Lassooy-Saura brought good will and enthusiastic greetings <br /> with her when she visited St. Anthony in July, 1994; and <br /> WHEREAS, Tellervo Lassooy-Saura has led the way in establishing relationships <br /> • between the people of Salo and St. Anthony with vitality and joy; and <br />
