• GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> CITY OF ST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br /> 1. DEFINITIONS <br /> When used in these General Conditions and the other documents comprising the <br /> Contract, the following terms shall have the following meanings: <br /> (a) "City" - The City of St. Anthony, Minnesota. <br /> (b) "Contract" - These General Conditions and the Contract to which they are <br /> attached. <br /> (c) "Contractor" - Compton Commercial Cleaning, Inc., a Minnesota <br /> corporation. <br /> (d) "City Representative" - The City Manager, Director of Public Works or other <br /> authorized representative or consultant designated by the City Manager. <br /> (e) "Specifications" - The specification attached as Exhibit A, and all direction, <br /> conditions, provisions and requirements pertaining to the Work. <br /> • (f) "Work" - All work covered by the Contract. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Contractor shall furnish all necessary cleaning supplies, tools, labor and material of <br /> every character required for the Work. <br /> 3. LABOR <br /> Only competent labor shall be employed for the Work. Contractor will not be <br /> allowed added compensation for any work performed on Saturdays, Sunday or Legal <br /> Holidays. <br /> 4. DISCRIMINATION <br /> Contractor agrees that: <br /> (a) In the hiring of labor for the Work, no contractor, material supplier, or <br /> vendor, shall, by reason of race, color, religion, national origin, place of residence, <br /> political affiliation, disability, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, <br /> sex or age discriminate against any person or persons who are citizens of the United <br /> States who are qualified and available to perform the work to which such <br /> is employment relates. <br /> 1k <br />
