• City of St. Anthony <br /> Public Works Labor Agreement <br /> Page 11 <br /> 19.2 EMPLOYEES not choosing dependent coverage cannot be covered at <br /> EMPLOYER expense for any additional insurance other than the individual <br /> group health and group life insurance. Additional life insurance can be <br /> purchased by EMPLOYEES at the EMPLOYEE'S expense to the extent <br /> allowed under the EMPLOYER'S group policy. <br /> 19.3 Individual EMPLOYEES may provide for an increased EMPLOYER contribution <br /> for insurance over that amount stipulated by 19.1 , by lowering their salary <br /> from the rates stipulated in Appendix A to provide for an increased <br /> EMPLOYER contribution which will fully pay for the EMPLOYEE'S health, life, <br /> and dental insurance, including dependent coverage. <br /> ARTICLE XX SICK LEAVE <br /> 20.1 Sick leave with pay shall be accrued by all permanent and probationary <br /> EMPLOYEES at the rate of one (1) day for each calendar month of full time <br /> employment or major fraction thereof. No limit shall be placed on the <br /> amount of sick leave that may be accrued by an EMPLOYEE. <br /> • 20.2 The EMPLOYER may, at its discretion, require a doctor's certificate showing <br /> the nature and extent of any injury or illness. <br /> 20.3 A permanent EMPLOYEE who meets the other requirements of this section, <br /> who is receiving Worker's Compensation payments, may be granted sick <br /> leave pay for the amount of the difference between the Worker's <br /> Compensation payments and the employee's salary to the extent that the <br /> employee has accrued sick leave. <br /> 20.4 Sick leave shall be granted when necessary for personal illness or injury. <br /> 20.5 The EMPLOYER will provide two (2) additional days of vacation leave for any <br /> EMPLOYEE who completes twelve (12) months without using sick leave <br /> during the contract years for those EMPLOYEES hired after December 31 , <br /> 1995. Those EMPLOYEES hired prior to December 31 , 1995 will receive an <br /> additional two (2) days pay in any 12 month period. <br /> 20.6 No sick leave shall be granted during the initial probationary period, but if an <br /> Employee satisfactorily completes the probationary period, sick leave <br /> accrued during the initial probationary period shall be granted. <br /> • <br />
