• City of St. Anthony <br /> Public Works Labor Agreement <br /> Page 15 <br /> ARTICLE XXIX EDUCATION/TRAINING <br /> 29.1 The EMPLOYER will budget $3,000 in calendar years 1998 and 1999 for the <br /> cost of tuition and books for job-related schools. The school, course work <br /> and expenses shall be first approved by the Department Head. <br /> 29.2 Upon completion of the North Hennepin Community College Public Works <br /> Certification Program, an EMPLOYEE will receive HEO pay provided the <br /> EMPLOYEE is at a minimum of Step E pay. <br /> ARTICLE XXX NON-DISCRIMINATION CLAUSE <br /> 30.1 The provisions of the Agreement shall be applied equally and without <br /> discrimination by the EMPLOYER and the UNION to all EMPLOYEES <br /> regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, <br /> status with regard to public assistance, disability or age. <br /> • ARTICLE XXXI SEVERANCE PAY <br /> 31 .1 Severance pay in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of accumulated sick <br /> leave not to exceed a maximum of forty-five (45) days shall be paid to all <br /> Employees leaving employment in good standing after one (1) year for those <br /> hired on or before December 31 , 1995. For those Employees hired after <br /> December 31 , 1995, severance pay in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of <br /> accumulated sick leave not to exceed a maximum of forty-five (45) days <br /> shall be paid to all Employees leaving employment in good standing after <br /> three (3) years. <br /> ARTICLE XXXII WAIVER <br /> 32.1 Any and all prior Agreements, resolutions, practices, policies, rules and <br /> regulations regarding terms and conditions of employment, to the extent <br /> inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, are hereby superseded. <br /> 32.2 The parties mutually acknowledge that during the negotiations which <br /> resulted in this Agreement, each had the unlimited right and opportunity to <br /> make demands and proposals with respect to any terms or conditions of <br /> employment not removed by law from bargaining. All agreements and <br /> understandings arrived at by the parties are set forth in writing in this <br /> • Agreement for the stipulated duration of this Agreement. The EMPLOYER <br /> and the UNION each voluntarily and unqualifiedly waives the right to meet <br /> and negotiate regarding any and all terms and conditions of employment <br />
