ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 98-021 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF <br /> METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES <br /> LOAN APPLICATION FOR AN INFILTRATION/INFLOW <br /> REDUCTION PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) has established an <br /> infiltration/inflow (I/I) reduction goal for the City of St. Anthony; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony desires to conduct a sump pump identification and <br /> removal project to reduce the existing I/I in the sanitary sewer system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MCES has established a matching grant/loan program for qualifying I/I <br /> reduction projects in the MCES tributary communities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed sump pump identification and removal project will qualify for the <br /> MCES loan program for up to $40,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the loan repayment is conditional on the long term effectiveness of the I/I <br /> • reduction project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> 1. The City Manager is directed to submit a loan application to the MCES <br /> for the sump pump identification and reduction project. <br /> 2. The City Manager is designated as the City of St. Anthony contact <br /> person for the MCES Loan Program. <br /> 3. The City of St. Anthony will review the loan offer when received from <br /> the MCES and enter into a formal agreement if deemed appropriate. <br /> Adopted this 27 day of r!/ 1998. <br /> 4ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> • Reviewed for administration: <br /> City na er <br />
