ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 98-049 <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A COPS UNIVERSAL <br /> HIRING PROGRAM GRANT AWARD <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony is in need of two new police officers to increase the <br /> strength of the Police Department from 12 to 14 police officers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Police Chief, in an effort to ease the City's amount of funding <br /> to increase the number of police officers, applied for and received a grant under <br /> the COPS Universal Hiring Program of$150,000. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> hereby accepts the grant award of$150,000 from the COPS Universal Hiring Program to <br /> hire two new police officers, increasing the number of police officers from 12 to 14, on behalf <br /> of the City of St. Anthony. <br /> • Adopted this day of c)I.A-n C, , 1998. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for administration: ` <br /> City Idanager <br /> • <br />
