Attempts were made to contact each of the applicants either by phone or in person to discuss <br /> the water problems they have experienced, and to determine their eligibility for participation in the <br /> Flood Relief Grant Program. Currently thirty-one of the thirty-three applicants have been contacted,and <br /> efforts continue to contact the two remaining applicants. <br /> Based on the applications, discussions and meetings, the following names and addresses meet the <br /> • requirements for participation in the 1998 Flood Relief Grant Program: <br /> 1. 2801 37`'Avenue NE <br /> 2. 4029 Shamrock Drive <br /> 3. 4042 Fordham Drive <br /> 4. 3900 Fordham Drive <br /> 5. 2601 35'Avenue NE <br /> 6. 2700 301'Avenue NE <br /> 7. 3301 Edward Street NE <br /> Two applicants are still under review and a recommendation will be made by July 17, 1998, <br /> 1. 3640 Penrod Lane <br /> 2. 3516 Skycroft Drive <br /> A number of applications were received which identified the primary source of water entering the home <br /> was through the foundation,floor and walls. Upon review of the problem it was recommended that the <br /> applicant install a basement drain tile system and/or provide positive drainage away from the walls and <br /> foundation of the home. These activities are currently not funded by the Flood Proofing Grant Program, <br /> and would not be eligible for participation.
