CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • RESOLUTION 98-078 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br /> AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on July 28, 1998, the <br /> engineering firm of WSB & Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and <br /> specifications for the improvement of Wilson Street, from 27`h Avenue NE <br /> to 29`h Avenue NE; Pahl Avenue, from Wilson Street to Coolidge Street; <br /> Alley - Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of Murray Avenue); Alley - <br /> Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of Pahl Avenue); and, Alley - <br /> Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of St. Anthony Boulevard) by <br /> reconstruction of the roadways and utilities. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br /> that: <br /> 1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br /> feasibility report. <br /> • 2) Such plans and specifications are hereby approved. <br /> 3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br /> paper and in the Construction Bulletin, ad advertisement for bids upon the making <br /> of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br /> advertisement shall be published for two times, shall specify the work to be done, <br /> shall state that bids will be opened on or about December 16, 1998, and bids the <br /> responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on <br /> February 9, 1999, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose <br /> responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br /> opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be <br /> considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash <br /> deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of St. <br /> Anthony for Five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> Adopted this D day of qy L)e rn 6e—V` , 19`�g <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> • Reviewed for administration: <br /> City Manager <br />
